Anthotype and Chlorophyll Printing | 11th April
11th April, 10am - 1pm
£40
10 People
Find out how to use plants to make photographic images in this experimental workshop. This style of printmaking is a lesson in slowing down, how to be more eco conscious, and how to connect with nature more. We will discuss plants that can be used for each process, and make at least three prints during the session, one which will be processed in class and two which will be taken away to do at home.
Participants will need to bring their own positives or transparencies to make images, along with an empty clip frame, and any flat objects such as feathers and dried plants. Depending on the time of year this workshop can take different lengths of time as it will need strong sunlight or time in a UV bed.
For one of the prints we will be using turmeric, which stains clothes, so please make sure to wear clothes you do not mind getting marks on or a good apron.
Eco Friendly Photography Workshops
Are you interested in how you can use plants to make photographs inside and outside of the darkroom? Want to be more aware of how photography impacts the environment? Join these workshops to get hands on experience in how to build a more sustainable way of making in the world of analogue photography, and get a bit messy in the process! Using tried and tested recipes you can learn how to experiment with a new wave of photographic making.
